Project SPAR (Suicide Prevention And Research) dedicated five years (2018-2023) to combating rising suicide rates through 400 community programs. These initiatives raised awareness, provided support, and conducted crucial research. Informed Gatekeepers
Over 5 years, Project SPAR educated over 3,000 gatekeepers to recognize suicide signs and administer QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer), enhancing community vigilance and intervention capabilities.
Over 300
Crisis Intervention Volunteers Trained
Over the project's duration, we trained over 300 Crisis Intervention Volunteers to administer crucial first aid actions, successfully preventing numerous high-risk suicides.
Over 600
At Risk Individuals Saved
Through the vigilance of gatekeepers and the prompt actions of our Crisis Intervention Volunteers, we successfully prevented over 600 high-risk suicides and provided support to hundreds of individuals in distress.
